SEMI has a way to beat the heat this summer with two days of talks and presentations on “Innovation for a Transforming World,” Tuesday and Wednesday, July 13-14, from 8:30am-noon PDT. Close the door to your home office or corporate cubicle and Zoom in as experts describe digital transformation on day one and the market outlook, technology trends and market Indicators and drivers on day two. Each day will offer a set of best practices that can be applied to all the transformations we’re experiencing. The ESD Alliance will be well represented by Wally Rhines, Executive Sponsor of the SEMI Electronic Design Market Data (EDMS) report, and President and CEO of Cornami, on day two with “Trends in the Semiconductor Design Ecosystem.” Wally will build on the most recent EDMS report, formerly known as the Market Statistics Survey (MSS), to address recent trends in the market for EDA and IP software. Attendees can expect vast insights from Wally into likely future directions as he points out areas with the most rapid change, including increased purchases of EDA and IP software by systems companies. His talk will be held Wednesday from 9:25-9:50am PDT. He will cover other topics that touch on the significant investment in semiconductor and EDA startups in China and the effect of COVID on design activity. Wally will conclude with a review of the increased importance of EDA for applications such as packaging, AI, machine learning and cybersecurity. The two-day virtual event is open to everyone, though the talks are tailored to senior executives from presidents and CEOs, COOs, CMOs and CTOs to chief data and innovation officers. Day one will present ideas for adapting business models, addressing customer needs and digital touch points and the ways the more decentralized world changed innovation. Day one topics will be of interest to financial and industry analysts, marketing and sales and business development professionals and concentrate on how businesses will thrive through disruption to provide resiliency, vision and culture.
Day two is considered a Market Symposium that covers the electronic product supply chain: semiconductor, equipment, design (represented by Wally Rhines, as noted above), packaging, fabs, emerging markets and automotive. Early bird registration is available until Tuesday, June 22. Member pricing is $199 and non-member pricing is $249. Regular pricing for members becomes $249 and $299 for non-members after that date.
