Next month’s SEMICON India features a new session in the program –– Design/EDA ––to explore the march of technology in chip design and how tool vendors are evolving to equip designers with capabilities needed to create and verify next-generation chips. The SEMICON India tagline, “Shaping the Semiconductor Future” applies as well to our part of the program that will be held Wednesday, September 11. The ESD Alliance, in cooperation with India Electronics and Semiconductor Association, built a program highlighting the chip design ecosystem’s rapid transformation as emerging processes, advanced assembly technologies and novel applications introduce new challenges in complexity, verification, power, device and supply chain security.
It should be a noteworthy session. Keynoting our program is Scott DeBoer, Executive Vice President of Technology and Products at Micron Technology, who will talk about “Memory at the Core of the AI Momentum –– Unleashing the AI Revolution through Pioneering Innovations in Memory and Storage Systems.” Attendees will also hear from speakers Arvind Veeraveli, Senior Software Architect at Cadence, and Ashish Hari, Country Head for Real Intent. A panel moderated by Nitin Dahad, Editor-in-Chief at EE Times, on “EDA Responds to the Challenges of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies will address how the EDA industry is advancing to address challenges posed by new process and packaging technologies.” Panelists are Breker Verification’s CEO Dave Kelf, Ruchir Dixit, Vice President and Country Manager at Siemens EDA, and Aveek Sarkar, Vice President at Synopsys. SEMICON India runs September 11 through 13 in Noida, Delhi, India. The Inaugural Opening Ceremony includes a welcome by India Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The program has plenty of topics of interest to business and technology leaders, researchers and industry analysts from across the microelectronics supply chain. In addition to Design/EDA, topics are broken down by: Advanced Packaging, Flexible Hybrid Electronics, Smart Manufacturing, Smart MedTech, Supply Chain Management, Sustainability and Workforce Development/SEMI U. SEMICON India is co-located with electronica India and productronica India and creates the largest single event for electronics manufacturing in South Asia, the next semiconductor hub.
