Liz here. I’ve just gotten word from Angel Orrantia of Innopartners, and we have a winner of the 2nd-ever hardware hackathon, mentioned in our earlier post today. Drumroll please…..
Give a round of applause for the winning team…..The Cheesemongers. Matt Gabradella accepted the award for the 4-person team on stage at the GigaOm Structure conference today in San Francisco. The Cheesemongers’ hack project involved a paired board that allows for remote monitoring and diagnostics of servers. So let’s make sure we get our cheesy nomenclature correct. The boards that plug into each server are called Cheesy Fingers. And The Big Cheese is the board that sends the collected information from the Cheesy Fingers to an iPad app. And it’s all controlled from an iPad. What was their inspiration? My personal favorite……Cheetos. 😉 Tags: Facebook, GigaOm, hackathon, OCP, OCP Hackathon, Open Compute Project, SK telecom Americas, SKTA Innopartners |
