Scope Of Position :Expertise, Skills, Project Deliverables and Support Requirements: The primary specialty area is Software Verification specifically supporting customers and developing technical collaterals on Simulations & I/O – Quartus II, NCSim, VCS, ModelSim, I/O Management – Planning and I/O Analysis and other areas such as In-system memory content editor, managing Quartus II projects, design migration from MAX+PLUS II to Quartus II and SignalProbe. Documentation in the Quartus II 6.1 Handbook and beyond – Update 6 chapters and in the future a new chapter on Aldec ActiveHDL support Provide Training to Regional Support Center AEs and FAEs at Quartus II 6.1 launch and beyond Develop & maintain Online Demos-on-Demand for above mentioned features Usability testing of new features in Quartus II (eg: Virtual JTAG and JSAP) and Quartus II-EDA interface (eg: ActiveHDL) Provide product enhancement feedback to Engineering and Product Planning based on customer support and usability testing Provide escalated support to customer issues in the technology areas mentioned above Develop and maintain Solutions, Troubleshooters, Design Examples Develop and maintain Support Web Pages including Verification Resource Center Develop custom scripts to improve user productivity during simulation and verification phase
Qualifications:3 to 5 years of design and verification work experience. Successful candidate should have experience in FPGA or ASIC design, simulation, hardware verification and debug. Successful candidate requires hands-on experience with Logic Analyzers and EDA Simulation tools. Knowledge/experience of the Quartus II software is desired but not required. Experience with Synopsys VCS, Cadence NC-Sim, Mentor Graphics ModelSim, Synplicity Identify is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills are required. BSEE or equivalent. MSEE preferred.
