As the New Year dawns, it is time to think about DAC 2013 happening from June 2nd to 6th in Austin, Texas. Of the many appealing aspects to the Design Automation Conference, the Designer/User Track that has been brought online over the last several years is one of the best. Hence it is important to note the deadline for submissions for the D/U Track is a brief month away — February 6th. There are three different tracks available for participation — Embedded Systems & Software, Front-end Silicon Design, and Back-end Silicon Design — with TI’s Tor Jeremiassen, Intel’s Erik Seligman, and IBM’s Cliff Sze serving as track chairs, respectively. Most importantly, Intel’s Robert Jones is overseeing the entire effort as D/U Track Chair. All of these folks, and their committees, want you to know that if your poster and presentation is accepted for the program, you will have a lively audience at DAC and an opportunity to share your problems and solutions with developers, IC designers, and design automation peers. The organizers also want you to know the submission process is quick and easy: Submit your slides by February 6th; Look for your accept/reject notification by March 18th; And look for your assigned presentation time during DAC week next June in Austin. Your first step now is to go to the D/U Track page on the DAC 2013 website and take it from there.
