Intel and Arm Join Forces to Empower Startups with the Emerging Business Initiative

In an unprecedented move, Intel and Arm have announced the creation of the Emerging Business Initiative, a groundbreaking collaboration aimed at bolstering the startup ecosystem. This initiative marks a significant step forward in the companies’ commitment to fostering innovation and supporting the next wave of technological advancement.

The Birth of the Emerging Business Initiative

The partnership was solidified through a memorandum of understanding, establishing the framework of the Emerging Business Initiative. This collaboration is a direct extension of the April 2023 multigeneration agreement between Intel and Arm, designed to empower chip designers to create cutting-edge, low-power compute system-on-chips (SoCs) utilizing the Intel 18A process technology.

Announced at the Intel Foundry Direct Connect event in San Jose, California, the initiative aims to provide startups with the necessary intellectual property (IP), manufacturing support, and financial resources. The focus is on encouraging the development of innovative devices and servers powered by Arm-based SoCs and manufactured by Intel Foundry, setting a new benchmark for industry collaboration.
