MetaLINCS Appoints Industry Veterans in Key Positions to Grow E-Discovery Software Market; New CTO and VP of Sales Join Silicon Valley E-Discovery Software Pioneer

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—July 25, 2005— MetaLINCS(TM), a pioneer in Electronic Discovery software, today announced that Chuck Williams has joined MetaLINCS as chief technology officer and Mary Kay Roberto has joined the company as vice president of sales. MetaLINCS will draw upon Williams' entrepreneurial experience gained from founding and senior leadership roles in three highly successful technology startups and Roberto's proven sales and sales management track record, including recent success with email archiving solutions. Williams will be responsible for the expansion and further innovation of MetaLINCS' technology and Roberto will develop the company's distribution channel to expand its growing customer portfolio.

Williams is uniquely qualified to steer the expansion of MetaLINCS' innovative technology, having founded two market-leading companies and led a third. Most recently, Williams was president of InQuira, a market and technology leader in the natural language search and self-service space. Williams was founder and CEO of Brightware where he created the first eCRM packaged offering, pioneered web self-service and led the company to market leadership in email customer service. He was founder, EVP and CTO of Inference, where he created the first commercial artificial intelligence products and brought the first customer service problem resolution application to market, culminating in a successful IPO. He received an M.S. in information and computer science from the University of California at Irvine and a B.S. in computer science from the University of Southern California.

Mary Kay Roberto is an experienced sales executive, expert at bringing new products to market, as well as growing technical services and sales organizations. Most recently, as SVP and GM, she led the KVS North American operations, managing growth from inception with four employees achieving at least 150% growth every year. Prior to KVS, she was Sales Director for Forte Software where she successfully built a regional sales infrastructure and significantly exceeded quota during her three-year tenure. Roberto was a Regional Vice President at Brightware/Inference where she helped build their new business segment from inception to a multi-million dollar business. She grew her team from two to 35 salespeople and consultants. Earlier in her career, Roberto held sales and sales management positions at Computer Associates. She received her B.A. in mathematics from Augustana College.

The current MetaLINCS management team consists of accomplished business executives, successful entrepreneurs, technology innovators, and veteran marketing professionals.

Ramon A. Nunez -- Chief Executive Officer

Ramon Nunez is an experienced executive with a successful 25-year career in the software, electronic design automation, semiconductor, and communications markets. He has been CEO of a public company, managed multi-national operations, and raised funds from both public and private capital markets. Until early in 2005, Nunez served as chairman of the board of Virtio Corporation, a software-development tools company based in Campbell, California. Nunez was appointed chief executive officer of IKOS in August 1995 and served in that capacity as well as president and director until April 2002. Nunez concluded the $120 Million sale of IKOS Systems, Inc., a publicly traded company, to Mentor Graphics Corporation. Prior to joining IKOS, Nunez served in sales management capacities with Zycad Corporation, Cadnetix (now part of Mentor Graphics) and Valid Logic (now part of Cadence). Nunez holds a BSEE degree from the University of California, Irvine and a MBA in Marketing & Finance from West Coast University, Los Angeles.

Drew Stoddard -- Founder and Senior Scientist

Drew Stoddard has over 20 years of experience in the design, construction and maintenance of commercial software. Most recently he was chief technology officer for AlterEgo Networks, a company he co-founded in the fall of 1999. AlterEgo Networks was acquired by Macromedia in 2002. Prior to joining AlterEgo Stoddard held the position of Chief Technologist for Inktomi Corporation where he directed all development of the Merchandising Shopping Engine. He led the team which developed the merchandising system at Impulse Buy Network where he was Chief Architect until the company was acquired by Inktomi. Previously, Stoddard was Chief Technologist for Marketing Resources Plus where he directed development of multiple products for broadcast media firms and advertising agencies. He studied computer science at Brigham Young University and California State University Sacramento.

Joseph W. Rockom -- Chief Financial Officer

Joseph Rockom has served as CFO for both private and public companies for the last twenty years. Most recently he was CFO and corporate secretary of IKOS. He joined IKOS when it was still private and helped take the company public in July of 1990. Prior to IKOS, Rockom was CFO of American Microsystems, Inc. where he held a variety of roles over 16 years. Rockom served as an officer in the U.S. Navy and received his BA in Mathematics and MBA from Washington State University, Pullman.

Andy Bensky -- Vice President of Engineering

Andy Bensky has over 15 years of experience developing a wide range of software, including building large-scale information retrieval, web portal systems and client software. As a founding engineer of Infoseek he played a pivotal roll in creating one of the Web's earliest and most popular information services and was responsible for many key features of Infoseek's early differentiating search technologies. He continued at Infoseek through its acquisition by Disney as vice president of portal engineering, director of search engineering, and chief scientist leading the GO.com website development team. Most recently, Bensky was chief technology officer of JokeVision and the principal software engineer at Propel Software. Bensky received his BS in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Fritz Mueller -- Senior Director of Product Marketing

Fritz Mueller has over 15 years of technical and product management expertise in software, networking products and services. Most recently, he was senior director of product management at Keynote Systems in charge of product strategy. While at Keynote, Fritz helped create one of the first web-based services which established Keynote as the leading brand name in website performance measurement leading to the company's public offering in 2000. Prior to Keynote, Mueller was the product line manager at NetManage, the leading supplier of TCP/IP application software for PCs. Mueller holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.
