Steve Singer, AuthenTec’s Director of Systems Engineering, to Host a Session Titled ‘Security Architecture for Mobile Platforms’

MELBOURNE, Fla. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — September 13, 2012 — AuthenTec (NASDAQ: AUTH), a leading provider of mobile and network security, today announced that Director of Systems Engineering Steve Singer will be a featured speaker in the Safety and Security program at DESIGN East 2012 being held from September 17-20 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston. Mr. Singer will address a session titled ‘Security Architecture for Mobile Platforms’ on September 19 from 10:45 am to 11:45 am Eastern Time as part of the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC).

Mr. Singer will outline the threat models driving the need for increased mobile platform security and introduce a new Secure Device Architecture (SDA) that includes hardware and software security ranging from semiconductor IP solutions for ASIC and FPGA devices to Android platform enhancements that can be incorporated quickly and cost effectively. In addition, he will provide a tutorial on network security standards, algorithms, security protocols and certifications, and will share real world experiences working with and understanding the requirements of industry leaders across the mobile spectrum including makers of systems on a chip (SOCs), handsets and tablets as well as mobile operators and content providers.
