CAMPBELL, Calif., April 12, 2011 — (PRNewswire) — Altos Design Automation Inc. today announced it has been selected by Texas Instruments (TI) to receive their Supplier Excellence Award (SEA) for 2010.  Altos was chosen based on its key contributions made to TI's library IP (intellectual property) characterization flow for standard cells and memories. Altos is one of sixteen companies to receive the 2010 award from over 12,000 TI suppliers.  

Altos teamed with TI on migrating from an internal characterization tool flow to Altos' products, Liberate, Variety and Liberate MX. This migration enabled TI to target IP to both internal and external foundries and to enable the mixing of both commercial and internally developed IP. Altos and TI also co-developed production flows for memory characterization including SRAM and TCAM compilers.
