NAVTEQ and TeleNav Ink Multiyear, Multi-Country Map Data Agreement

Extension of NAVTEQ and TeleNav agreement includes expanded international coverage

CHICAGO, April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- NAVTEQ a leading global provider of digital maps for location-based solutions and vehicle navigation, today announced an agreement with TeleNav, under which NAVTEQ will extend and expand an existing relationship to supply global digital maps.

TeleNav provides services for all of the major U.S. wireless carriers and was ranked as the largest wireless services navigation provider in North America by Nielsen Mobile in 2008(1). TeleNav was the first to launch connected GPS navigation on mobile phones in North America. In addition to its partnerships with U.S. wireless carriers, TeleNav also provides services for several carriers in Canada, Europe, Latin America and Asia.

TeleNav products using NAVTEQ data include:

    --  TeleNav Track(TM):  Enterprise-grade mobile workforce management
        software that manages mobile workforces and assets with GPS-enabled
        tracking, dispatching, reporting, timesheets, navigation and vehicle
        diagnostics.

-- TeleNav GPS Navigator(TM): Connected turn-by-turn GPS navigation for mobile phones with features such as full-color 3D moving maps, traffic alerts with one-click rerouting, 10 million business listings, business reviews, gas prices, weather updates and location sharing.

NAVTEQ and TeleNav embarked on a relationship in 2002 when TeleNav selected NAVTEQ to supply map data. Additionally, TeleNav was a semifinalist in the first NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge(R) in 2004. With this new multi-year, multi-country agreement, NAVTEQ plays an important and integral role in TeleNav's international growth with map coverage in the United States, Mexico, Canada, Brazil and Europe. The deal also allows TeleNav the rights to use NAVTEQ(R) map data with core and extended Points of Interest (POIs).
