Nascentric to Use United Devices' Grid MP for Simulation and Verification Clusters; Nascim(R) Leverages Grid MP for Chip-Level Simulation and Verification

AUSTIN, Texas—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Feb. 8, 2006— Nascentric announced today it has selected United Devices' Grid MP(TM) software platform for use with Nascim, Nascentric's next-generation Fast-SPICE chip-level simulation and verification tool.

Grid MP enables Nascentric to provide a broadly grid-enabled Nascim product, while simultaneously building grid expertise within Nascentric to be able to better advise customers on leading-edge distributed computing technologies.

"Simulation and verification at the chip-level necessitates the efficient and effective use of high-speed, high-capacity Fast-SPICE simulators like Nascim," said Dennis George, director of marketing for Nascentric. "Grid MP efficiently schedules and manages simulation runs in a distributed computing environment, thereby resulting in even faster design turnaround. We will continue to provide robust and seamless links to popular distributed computing and design environments."

Grid MP lets chip designers maximize Nascim's capabilities by running it over interconnected computer clusters or a distributed compute grid comprised of the user's existing hardware and software resources. United Devices is a pioneer in distributed computing, and provides businesses with secure, scalable grid solutions and management tools.

Nascentric is currently shipping Nascim, the next generation in SPICE-accurate, high-performance Fast-SPICE simulation technology and the first in a series of advanced simulation and analysis products. Nascim enables design teams to analyze larger and more complex circuits dramatically faster than previously possible.

"Nascentric continues to lead the EDA (Electronic Design Automation) marketplace by embracing high performance computing technologies like Grid MP, with all its associated advantages," said Rob Beauchamp, vice president of marketing and business development at United Devices. "Obviously, we are excited about partnering with a visionary company like Nascentric."
