Registration Opens for 2nd Annual World Forum on Internet of Things (WF-IoT)

IEEE WF-IoT, 14-16 December 2015, Program to Feature Keynote Speaker Vinton G. Cerf

MILAN & PISCATAWAY, N.J. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — September 2, 2015IEEE, the world's largest professional organization advancing technology for humanity, today announced attendee registration is open for its 2nd Annual World Forum on Internet of Things (WF-IoT). This year’s event will be held 14-16 December 2015, in Milan, Italy, gathering technologists from around the globe to examine key critical innovations across technologies that will change the IoT research and industry application space of the future. Dr. Vinton G. Cerf, VP and Chief Internet Evangelist, Google, co-inventor of the Internet, and an IEEE Life Fellow, will be a conference keynote speaker.

Dr. Cerf is also the co-designer of the TCP/IP protocols, the most recent version of which is IPv6. "In a network with tens of billions of termination points, we are going to need IPv6 everywhere,” said Dr. Cerf, “IPv6 is a linchpin to the success of the IoT from supporting its sheer numbers to security and privacy and essential to its development.”
