DATE 2015: Advance Programme available online at http://www.date-conference.com/conference/event-overview

Dec 15, 2014 -- We proudly present to you the Advance Programme of DATE 2015. DATE combines the world’s favorite electronic systems design and test conference with an international exhibition for electronic design, automation and test, from system-level hardware and software implementation right down to integrated circuit design.

DATE 2015 receives 915 paper submissions – an all-time high for DATE and a 3% increase over DATE 2014.

Besides the large share (45%) of submissions coming from Europe, 24% of submissions are from North-America, 28% from Asia, and 3% from the rest of the world. This clearly demonstrates DATE’s international character, its global reach and impact. The most successful topics were “System Design, High-Level Synthesis and Optimization” in the Design Methods and Tools Track, “Secure Systems” in the Application Design Track, “On-Line Test, Fault Tolerance and Robust Systems” in the Test and Robustness Track and “Real-time, Networked, and Dependable Systems” in the Embedded Systems Software Track.

For the 18th successive year DATE has prepared an exciting technical program. With the help of 309 members of the Technical Programme Committee who carried out 3675 reviews (more than four per submission), finally 206 papers (22%) were selected for regular presentation and 86 additional ones (9%) for interactive presentation.

The DATE conference will be held at the Alpexpo Congress Center in Grenoble. France, again offering an exciting programme throughout the whole week of March 9 to 13, 2015.

On Monday, the conference starts with 10 in-depth tutorials and the “IEEE CEDA IoT Students Competition” taking place for the first year at DATE. On Friday, 10 workshops will take place in parallel highlighting hot topics like 3D design automation, neurocomputing and optical interconnect systems.

One of the plenary keynote speakers on Tuesday is EU Commissionar Günther Oettinger to talk about “European Microelectronics Strategy”. On the same day, the Executive Track offers a series of business panels discussing hot topics. Executive speakers from companies leading the design and automation industry will address some of the complexity issues in electronics design and discuss about the advanced technology challenges and opportunities.

The main conference program from Tuesday to Thursday includes 77 technical sessions organized in parallel tracks from four areas:

D – Design Methods and Tools

A – Application Design

T – Test and Robustness

E – Embedded Systems Software

Extra tracks are dedicated to the Executive Day on Tuesday and the two special days: “Designing Electronics for the Internet of Things” Day on Wednesday and “Designing Electronics for Medical Applications” Day on Thursday, featuring an outstanding set of 4 special sessions on the topic of "Game-changing innovation in health care", which include 10 trend-setting invited papers, 8 of which from industry players in the health care field.

There are two keynotes on Wednesday given by Wolfgang Wahlster (German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, DE), who will talk on “Industry 4.0:  From the Internet of Things to Cyber-Physical Production Systems” and Antun Domic (Synopsys) to talk about “The Rise of IoT, and the Role of EDA”.

On Thursday, a keynote in the frame of the Special Day on Medical Electronics will be given by Kristoffer Famm from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to talk about "Bioelectronic medicines - heralding in a new therapeutic approach”.

Additionally, there are numerous Interactive Presentations which are organized into five IP sessions.  The accompanying exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of commercial design and verification tools including vendor seminars and abundant networking possibilities with fringe meetings.

We wish you a successful and exciting DATE 2015 and an entertaining DATE party on Wednesday evening, which will take place in the “Musée de Grenoble”.
