AMD Opteron and Linux EDA. Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

At last years Linux word, there were a few good questions on this issue. This thread is open to discussion of:

64 bit Linux vs 32 bit Linux for EDA what is the actual need?

Do your tools support Opteron? I know some do?

Does your compute farm have Opteron servers?

Is AMD’s leadership in 64 bit forcing a response from Intel?

If you read this and have comments, go ahead and sign in and post them. It makes it more interesting for everyone and it does not even hurt!!

Hi,

I never had more fun than running Cadence tools on Opteron machines. Its just a blast - AMD clearly took the crown and is not going to give it up anytime soon :D
