Extraction Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

Hi,

I am new at this field, and want to know if there is a way to extract the parasitic capacitance between metal plates in Calibre.

I have just placed Metal 1 and Metal 2 on top of each other, and wanted to see how much capacitance is present in between. Thank you.

Calibre can compute the physical releationship.
(i.e. the area overlap and which edges are on the perimeter)

You need to couple this with fab data to get capacitance.

(or set the values to unity and multiply out later.)

Note that you will need to provide a calibre deck with connectivity and extraction primitives.
