Mentor Graphics Sponsors Workshop on Stress Management for 3D ICs Using Through Silicon Vias (TSVs), Co-Located at ISQED

WILSONVILLE, OR -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Jan 07, 2011 -- Mentor Graphics Corporation (NASDAQ: MENT) today announced that it will sponsor the fourth in a series of workshops on IC 3D Interconnects to be co-located at ISQED on March 17, 2011. The workshop, hosted by SEMATECH in cooperation with Fraunhofer IZFP and IMEC, will focus on the product reliability issues associated with mechanical stress in Through Silicon Via (TSV) techniques.

The 4th Workshop will be focused on addressing the reliability aspects of stress in 3D products and will build on the progress achieved in the prior three events. Specifically, the intent of this workshop is to focus on the mechanical stress driven failure mechanisms, the associated test vehicles, and the characterization and modeling methodologies related to via-middle TSV 3D stacking technologies.
