Alchip Selects Verigy V93000 SOC Series Pin Scale as Next Generation Test Platform

CUPERTINO, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—September 25, 2007— Verigy (NASDAQ: VRGY), a premier semiconductor test company, today announced that Alchip Technologies has selected the Verigy V93000 SOC Series Pin Scale as its next-generation test platform. Alchip, a leading provider of silicon design and manufacturing services for companies developing complex and high-volume system-on-chip (SoC) designs, chose the V93000 for its proven stability and large installed base in outsourced assembly and test partners (OSATs). An important factor is that the V93000's scalability makes it easy for Alchip to add additional advanced test capabilities requested by customers.

Alchip provides integrated device manufacturers (IDMs), design houses and system houses with a full range of SoC designs including back-end wafer tape out, chip assembly to testing services. Alchip has recorded a 100 percent success rate for providing customers with designs that achieve "first-cut" success at tape out, allowing its customers to reduce critical time-to-market. The V93000 Pin Scale allows Alchip to instantly configure the system through per-pin licensing to match device requirements, pin-by-pin, for lowest cost-of-test. As test needs change, the system can be reconfigured to accommodate a new class of device or specific application requirements.
