Datalight FlashFX Pro Enables Flash Memory for Designs Based on RMI Au1200 Family of Processors

TAIPEI, Taiwan, June 5 /PRNewswire/ -- (Computex) -- Datalight, Inc. and Raza Microelectronics(R), Inc. (RMI) announced today a new alliance to make a customized version of Datalight FlashFX Pro(R) software available for the RMI(R) Alchemy Au1200(TM) Processor Family. The Alchemy Au1200 brings increased performance to device designs such as portable media players that rely on high quality graphics. FlashFX Pro, the market leading intelligent flash memory manager enables device manufacturers to provide a superior user experience.

The inherent complexities of NAND-based designs can create performance bottlenecks, especially when storing and retrieving large media files. FlashFX Pro manages tasks such as wear-leveling, background compaction and bad block management, and presents the NAND as a simple block device interface to the system. The result is significantly faster boot times and a more stable platform for flash-based data storage.
