TriQuint Announces New HADRON PA Module(TM): New Edge Module Optimized to QUALCOMM Enhanced Multimedia Platform of Chipsets

BARCELONA, Spain & HILLSBORO, Ore.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—February 12, 2007— TriQuint Semiconductor (Nasdaq: TQNT), a leading manufacturer of RF front-end modules for wireless handsets, today announced the release of its newest product in the HADRON PA Module(TM) family: a quad-band GSM/EDGE-Polar power amplifier module (PAM), the TQM7M5008. The new product is a key member of TriQuint's 2007 "Global Handset Strategy" announced February 1st and is compatible with QUALCOMM's Mobile Station Modem(TM) (MSM(TM)) chipsets. The new module will be displayed at the GSM World Congress in Barcelona, Spain (12th-15th Feb. 2007) and provides the market's best GSM/GPRS and EDGE efficiency in an industry-standard 7x7mm footprint. The TQM7M5008 is modeled on the company's successful TQM7M5003 module already in worldwide usage.

The TQM7M5008 power amplifier module is a next-generation design supporting QUALCOMM's newest 3G multimode transceivers. It offers best-in-class amplitude and phase modulation performance, which provides a handset with fast calibration time. This in turn reduces manufacturing time. The new module supports TriQuint's continuing strategy to supply customers with high-performance products optimized to major transceiver reference designs that speed time-to-market and extend battery life.
