Tripath Files for Protection Under Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

SAN JOSE, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—February 8, 2007— Tripath Technology Inc. (OTCBB: TRPH) (the "Company") announced today that it has filed for protection under chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code (the "Code") in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California (the "Bankruptcy Court"). The Company will ask the Bankruptcy Court to allow it to continue operating in the normal course of business as provided in the Code.
