Scintera Names Technology Veteran Arthur Reidel Chief Executive Officer

Company's Founding CEO, Abhijit Phanse, Continues as President and Assumes New Role as Chief Operating Officer

SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Scintera, Inc., the developer of industry leading Gigabit Signal Processor(TM) (GSP(TM)) semiconductor solutions for 10 Gigabit Ethernet LRM and other high-speed communications announced today that it has named Arthur Reidel chief executive officer. Abhijit Phanse, Company's founding CEO, will continue as president and will assume the new role of chief operating officer, focusing on developing Scintera's products and delivering them into their markets.

Most recently, Art was a venture partner with Lightspeed Venture Partners, where he provided management assistance to several companies, and was responsible for new investments, in the electronic design automation, semiconductor and communications sectors. Prior to that, Art was co-founder and CEO of Pharsight, which provides software and services to pharmaceutical developers, and led its IPO in August 2000. Art has held executive positions with multiple companies including Viewlogic Systems, Inc., Sunrise Test Systems, Inc. and Weitek Corporation. Art has a B.S. in Mathematics from MIT.
