WJ Communications Introduces a New High Linearity 1-Watt, Broadband Amplifier; The AH202 Targeted for Wireless, CATV, VHF/UHF and Defense Applications

SAN JOSE, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Sept. 1, 2005— WJ Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: WJCI), a leading designer and supplier of RF solutions for the wireless infrastructure and RFID markets, today announced a new 1-watt, high linearity driver amplifier targeted for mobile infrastructure, CATV/DBS, VHF/UHF broadband, and defense and homeland security applications. The AH202 covers the 50-2200 MHz frequency range, is available in a 6x6 mm 28-pin QFN SMT package and is lead-free/RoHS compliant.

Product Overview

The AH202 is a 1-Watt driver amplifier that offers excellent dynamic range in a low-cost, lead-free/RoHS-compliant 6x6 mm 28-pin QFN surface-mount package. This device is broadband and operates over a 50 - 2200 MHz frequency range while providing its optimum P1dB and OIP3 performance when biased at +11V; it can also be biased as low as +9V for lower power applications. Superior thermal design allows the product an MTTF of over 100 years at a mounting temperature of +85 degrees C. All devices are 100% RF & DC tested. The AH202 is targeted for use as a driver amplifier for a variety of applications including; mobile infrastructure, CATV/DBS, VHF/UHF broadband, and defense and homeland security applications where high linearity and medium power are required.
