"WJ's strong monolithic IC mixer product line continues to expand with the introduction of the MH205A that integrates a very high IP3 and low conversion loss," said Ron Buswell, senior vice president of marketing and product line management for WJ Communications. "We expect to see continued growth and strength in the wireless markets, especially with our key customers in North America and Asia. The MH205A is expected to fulfill the demand for low-cost, high-performance and excellent dynamic range, all of which are required for the new 2.5G and 3G systems worldwide."
The MH205A is a passive GaAs MESFET mixer that provides high dynamic range performance and is available in a Pb-free SOIC-8 package. This device uses patented techniques to realize +35 dBm Input IP3 at an LO drive level of +17 dBm when used in a simple application circuit in an upconverting or downconverting high-side LO configuration. This single monolithic integrated circuit does not require any external baluns or bias elements and operates over a frequency of 800-960 MHz. Typical applications include frequency up/down conversion, modulation and demodulation for receivers and transmitters used in cellular-band 2.5G and 3G wireless infrastructure.
Price and Availability
