Oridus' SpaceCruiser Web Collaboration Solution Deployed by Cadence for Enhanced Customer Support

FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 2002--Oridus, Inc., provider of powerful, secure enterprise collaboration software solutions, announced it has signed a licensing agreement with Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, Oridus will equip Cadence field application engineers (FAEs) and customer support centers with its SpaceCruiser(TM) client/server software for real-time desktop sharing and Web conferencing.

"We selected Oridus' SpaceCruiser for its superior performance, multi-platform support and secure access model," said Dipender Saluja, corporate vice president of technical field operations at Cadence. "SpaceCruiser establishes a fast, secure Web-link so we can be virtually `sitting' at our customer's desk within minutes. With our customer's permission, we can take over control of the workstation to run Cadence products remotely for real-time support. Our customers are asking us to help them solve their design issues faster, and we see this technology as one good way to do that."

Oridus' cross-platform and cross-network solutions harness the power of the Internet and corporate Intranets. Residing behind a customer's corporate firewall, Oridus' customers have full control and knowledge of the software and capabilities deployed into their network environment. In addition, Oridus employs several levels of security including 128-bit SSL encryption, LDAP integration, and role-based authentication procedures.

"Maintaining IP security on the Internet is a primary concern among companies today," said Dr. Kuochun Lee, president and CEO of Oridus. "We focused our efforts on this specific issue and have come up with an approach that offers the best solution for secure and traceable communication over the Internet. It is terrific validation to have the industry leader in electronic design automation recognize our efforts and the benefits our technology brings to the high-tech industry."
