        Get to Market Early with Virtual Platforms for Pre-Silicon Software

        Today, the development effort for software running on chip designs at
        90 nm and beyond has already surpassed that of hardware development.
        This session introduces the advantages of using interoperable,
        transaction-level models (TLMs) based on OSCI's new TLM 2.0 standard
        to assemble virtual platforms.  These SystemC-based TLMs are deployed
        early in the design cycle for software development, debug and system
        platform deployment. Using the actual example of the Freescale i.MX
        family for mobile communications this session details actual virtual
        platform use cases for pre-silicon software development and system
        validation. Synopsys' Innovator and DesignWare System-Level Library
        for the i.MX product family will be demonstrated.
