Greg Spirakis Joins ArchPro Board

SAN JOSE, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—July 14, 2006— Longtime Intel executive Greg Spirakis has joined the ArchPro Design Automation board of directors. ArchPro is a leader in the development of EDA products for solving power management design challenges in IC/SoC designs at 90nm and below.

Spirakis joined Intel in 1982 after graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, eventually rising to become a Vice President in the Technology & Manufacturing Group, and Director of Design Technology. While at Intel he also served as chair of the Design Technology Council for two years, leading a drive for increased EDA interoperability and vendor cooperation by spearheading the council's successful OpenAccess project.

Spirakis left Intel in 2005 to pursue investment and technology consulting opportunities.

"ArchPro is a great company with a new and fresh approach to power management," Spirakis said. "Their tools for multi-voltage design offer exciting benefits that work completely within existing flows, and are generating a lot of buzz within the design community."

"With his unparalleled experience and technical prowess, Greg is a fantastic addition to our board of directors," said ArchPro CEO and chairman, Pratap Reddy. "He probably knows better than anyone else what customers want from an EDA company, and we will use that knowledge to create and deliver the best possible solutions."

Other members of the ArchPro board are Pratap Reddy, ArchPro's CEO and chairman of the board; Srikanth Jadcherla, ArchPro founder and CTO; and Amit Srivastava, chief investment officer, Entrepia. Board observers are Shishpal Rawat, director of EDA investments, Intel Capital; and Kay Iwaisako, Entrepia.
