ICCAD focuses on the pressing problems of today's IC designs such as power and variability, as well as the challenges of future technologies. The program addresses both physical design and system-level issues. ICCAD links design technology with design automation, and offers sessions focused on new technology and design trends. In addition, ICCAD recently expanded its focus to include emerging technologies such as carbon nanotubes, molecular transistors, spin-based and single electron devices, DNA-based computing, electro-chemical components, MEMS, and the integration in sensor systems and biochips.
In addition to traditional CAD topics, ICCAD has expanded its focus to include innovative design technologies for devices, circuits, and systems in both CMOS and non-CMOS technologies. Original technical submissions focusing on, but not limited to, the following topics are invited: physical design and test, synthesis and system design, verification modeling and simulation, and innovative design technologies for systems, circuits and devices. Proposals for panel sessions and embedded tutorials (both half-day and full-day) that address emerging fields are also invited.
