Bluespec Executives to Participate This Week in DesignCon Tutorial Session, Management Forum

Tutorial Will Highlight New Technologies, Advanced Techniques for IC Design; Panel Will Debate On-Line Marketing Strategies

WALTHAM, Mass.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Feb. 6, 2006— Bluespec's Chief Technology Officer Rishiyur Nikhil will present a TechForum tutorial titled, "Beyond RTL: Advanced Digital System Design" today (February 6) during DesignCon 2006 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, Calif.

This tutorial will introduce new technologies and advanced techniques to cope with the complexity of designing modern digital chips that are complete systems containing multiple processors, complex intellectual property (IP) blocks and high-speed buses and interconnection networks. Nikhil presented a similar tutorial to a standing room crowd during the 19th International Conference on VLSI Design (VLSI 2006) in January in India.

George Harper, Bluespec's vice president of marketing, will participate in a Management Forum Panel February 8 called, "Make Technical On-Line Marketing Truly Technical -- From Tactics to Strategy: What Works and What Doesn't?"

Bluespec Compiler and Simulator toolset is a finalist in the ASIC and IC Design Tools category of this year's DesignVision Awards, sponsored by the International Engineering Consortium and the 2006 DesignCon Team. Winners will be announced February 7 at DesignCon.

About Bluespec

Bluespec Inc. manufactures an industry standards-based Electronic Design Automation (EDA) toolset that significantly raises the level of abstraction for hardware design while retaining the ability to automatically synthesize high-quality RTL, without compromising speed, power or area. The toolset, the only one focused on control and complex datapaths, allows ASIC and FPGA designers to reduce design time, bugs and re-spins that contribute to product delays and escalating costs.
