NTT Com Named as a Leader in IDC ITMarketScape: Asia/Pacific Managed Security Services 2015 Vendor Assessment

TOKYO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — June 12, 2015NTT Communications (NTT Com) (NYSE: NTT) announced today that it has been positioned as a Leader in International Data Corporation’s (IDC) first ever "IDC ITMarketScape: Asia/Pacific Managed Security Services 2015 Vendor Assessment" report (doc # AP251064, May 2015). The IDC ITMarketScape represents a vendor assessment including both quantitative and qualitative characteristics that define success in today’s managed security services market.

IDC evaluated 16 organizations that offer managed security services (MSS) in Asia/Pacific by conducting in-depth interviews with MSS providers and more than 20 interviews with providers' customers.

IDC cites NTT Com’s key strengths as:

  • A great level of flexibility in terms of GTM (Go To Market) strategies by leveraging its subsidiaries and partnerships with consulting firms.
  • Strong customer support in the area of real-time notification of high risk threats/security events as well as advanced detection (i.e. real time malware detection services) and analytics services with highly flexible options, including self-service to onboard customers.

IDC ITMarketScape vendor analysis model is designed to provide an overview of the competitive fitness of ICT suppliers in a given market. The research methodology utilizes a rigorous scoring methodology based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria that results in a single graphical illustration of each vendor’s position within a given market.
