New Cadence CEO to Join DAC Panel Discussion on the State of EDA

Michael J. Fister and His Peers From Mentor Graphics and Synopsys Take the Stage in 'EDA: This is Serious Business'

BOULDER, Colo., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The 41st Design Automation Conference (DAC) confirmed today that Michael J. Fister, newly appointed chief executive officer (CEO) of Cadence, will join Walden C. Rhines, CEO of Mentor Graphics Corp. and Aart De Geus, CEO of Synopsys, on a panel discussing the state of the electronic design automation industry. Mr. Fister was most recently senior vice president at Intel Corporation and general manager of the Enterprise Platforms Group, which designs, markets, and supports building blocks for enterprise computing.

During "EDA: This is Serious Business," the three CEO panelists will discuss how the EDA industry has come of age, and describe their visions for the industry's future and its prospects for growth. The panel will field questions from a group of six well-known industry watchers, ensuring a forum for provocative discussion.

DAC will be held Monday, June 7, through Friday, June 11, at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, Calif. Pre-conference registration has closed.
