Nassda's HSIM Adopted By Kilopass Technology For Embedded Non-volatile Memory Development in Standard CMOS Logic Processes

Santa Clara, Calif. - May 11, 2004 - Nassda™ Corporation (Nasdaq: NSDA) today announced that Kilopass Technology, Inc. has adopted Nassda's HSIM hierarchical simulator and analysis tool for use in the development of Kilopass's embedded non-volatile memory intellectual property (IP) XPM, Super Permanent Memory, for standard CMOS logic processes. Kilopass Technology will use HSIM for full-chip verification of very high-density non-volatile memories whose sizes range up to hundreds of mega-bits. The memory IP is targeted for generic standard CMOS processes in advanced process nodes, such as 130 nm and 90nm.

According to Michael Fliesler, Vice-President of Engineering at Kilopass Technology, "Nassda provided the highest capacity and most accurate solution for our design simulation requirements. Previously we could not achieve full-chip simulation with our largest memories using other tools. Not only was the capacity much greater, we saw simulation speedups over 10X with Spice-level accuracy. Now we can verify our entire XPM designs to meet our strict timing, low-power and high-speed programming requirements.
