Freescale Semiconductor Updates Second Quarter 2011 Outlook

AUSTIN, Texas — (BUSINESS WIRE) — June 21, 2011 — In connection with its annual financial analyst meeting, Freescale Semiconductor (NYSE: FSL) confirmed its outlook for the second quarter ending July 1, 2011. Based on current estimates, the company expects to achieve its previous guidance of sequential improvement in both revenues and gross margins.

The company plans to report its second quarter results on July 20, 2011.

The analyst meeting is being hosted by Rich Beyer, chairman and CEO of Freescale and Alan Campbell, Chief Financial Officer. Business presentations will be given by Reza Kazerounian, general manager microcontrollers; Lisa Su, general manager networking & multimedia; Tom Deitrich, general manager RF, analog & sensors; and Henri Richard, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.
