2010 Custom Integrated Circuits Conference
San Jose, California
September 19 – 22, 2010
Join Rambus Inc., one of the world's premier technology licensing companies, at the IEEE Custom Integrated Circuits Conference (CICC). At the show, Rambus will present a technical paper on equalizer design and performance tradeoffs in an ADC-based serial link environment.
Monday, September 20, 2:00 p.m. PT
"Equalizer Design and Performance Trade-offs in ADC-based Serial Links"
DoubleTree Hotel, Pine Ballroom, Session 8-2
During the session, Rambus will analyze the performance benefits of using non-uniform quantization in ADC-based backplane receivers. The optimal way of placing the ADC quantization thresholds is not what minimizes the quantization error, especially with limited ADC resolution. Attendees will hear how the proposed reduced-slicer partial-response DFE receiver achieves the BER of 3~4-bit uniform ADCs with only 4 data slicers.
