XMOS Appoints Terry Leeder as President and CEO

BRISTOL, UK and SUNNYVALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Jul 20, 2010 -- XMOS today announced the appointment of industry veteran Terry Leeder as CEO, bringing 37 years of semiconductor sales and global leadership experience. Having held senior positions in both public corporations and entrepreneurial ventures, Leeder replaces interim CEO Charles Cotton, who remains as a board member.

"As CEO, I plan to push forward with XMOS' vision to change the way electronic products are designed and to help more customers to ship better products, faster."

Leeder's background includes management, sales and marketing in the semiconductor business on a global scale. He has held CEO positions at MediaPhy Corporation and Medianix Semiconductor, as well as several senior vice president, vice president and business unit manager positions. He holds a Bachelor of Science (first class) degree from the University of Salford.

"We are pleased to welcome Terry Leeder as CEO at XMOS and look forward to working closely with him as the company advances to lead the market in programmable silicon," said William B. Elmore, co-founder of Foundation Capital and Chairman of the XMOS Board. "Leeder's background and expertise make him a perfect fit for the organization, and we are confident that XMOS will continue to make strides in the industry with Leeder at its head."
