Cavium Networks Demonstrates Revolutionary netHD™ (Networked High Definition) Wi-Fi Reference Design for In-Home Networked Video Distribution at TelcoTV 2009

The netHD™ reference design is targeted for consumer electronics devices, including high definition TVs, gaming consoles, media PCs, service provider home gateways, and wireless HDMI cable replacement solutions for in-home video distribution to single or multiple flat panel displays. The netHD™ reference design is based on Cavium’s industry-leading PureVu super low latency SLL Technology™, and enables standards-based H.264 encoding and decoding up to 1080p60 full HD video quality with sub-frame latency, as well as transmitting the video stream using a variety of standards-based networking technologies, including 802.11n Wi-Fi, G.hn, HPNA or any standard Ethernet connection for in-room or multi-room HD video delivery throughout the entire home.
