DT8051 - World's smallest and fastest 8051 IP Core

BYTOM, POLAND — May 05, 2009 — Digital Core Design (DCD) today releases World's smallest and fastest 8051 core. The 7150 ASIC gates for complete system including 8051-CPU, full duplex UART, Timers 0&1, Advanced Power Management Unit, eight I/O lines, eight external interrupts INT0-INT7 and 2-wire DoCD on-chip debugger is the best achievement on the IP Market. DT8051 runs Dhrystone 2.1 benchmark program 8.1 times faster than the original 80C51 at the same frequency. It can be easily checked by everyone using our DoCD on chip debugger and running included Dhrystone benchmark inside DoCD simulator. It gives 0.0763 DMIPS/MHz (VAX MIPS), which is much better performance comparing to our competitors. DT8051 core provides efficient real-time TTAGTM based DoCD debugger, is fully user configurable and wrapped 0.0714 square milimiters (0.18 um technology) - there are the most important features. The 2-wire on-chip debugging solution makes DT8051 perfect for low-pin count applications, where chip size has a matter. DT8051 provides the best area (7150 ASIC gates) to performance (8.1 times faster) ratio which makes it the best solution available on the 8051 IP market.
