ATEN Technology Launches New 8- and 16-Port Dual Channel CAT5 KVM Switches

New KVM Switches Offer Comprehensive Configuration Backup and Restoration Features

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- ATEN Technology, Inc., an innovative provider of high-quality KVM (keyboard/video/mouse) and remote connectivity products to centrally manage servers, network devices and IT infrastructure, today announced new dual channel KVM switches. These Dual Channel CAT5 KVM switches are eight and 16-port units that provide two operators with independent and simultaneous access to eight or 16 connected servers. These units are expandable to control up to 512 or 4,096 computers. In the event of a network failure or other emergency, these new switches enable data center managers to back up configuration settings for seamless restoration.

"We are confident that our customers will embrace these new multi-user KVM switches due to its recovery process functionality and modular design," said John G. Owen, director of sales, ATEN Technology, Inc. "For example, users can add browser-based remote access whenever they want by adding one of our KVM on the NET products. Given the multi-platform support, high video resolution and convenient CAT5 cable connectivity, these new switches feature powerful, yet highly affordable technology."

For remote management functionality, network administrators can connect the Dual Channel KVMs to ATEN's KVM on the Net (CN8000) IP access control unit. Designed for corporate server rooms, these KVM switches feature multi-platform support for servers and consoles. KVM switches control a diverse range of consoles to independently and simultaneously access servers -- the combination of KVM adapter cables and console modules with a KVM switch enables users to flawlessly integrate previously incompatible console and server platforms.
