Universities Adopt CoWare Processor Designer as Teaching and Research Tool

RWTH Aachen University

CoWare Processor Designer allows us to implement application-specific instruction set processors for channel decoding in wireless systems with an extremely high productivity and performance which is close to that of dedicated IP blocks. The offered flexibility of Processor Designer with respect to pipeline and memory organization is essential for our application.

--Prof. Norbert Wehn, Architectures for Wireless Communication Systems

TU Kaiserslautern

CoWare Processor Designer not only enables our students to explore different architecture alternatives from designing an H.264 encoder chip for HDTV, but it also enables good collaboration between students from various university partners for developing a truly effective MPSoC compiler framework.

--Prof. Isshiki

Tokyo Institute of Technology

We have more than 10 graduate students doing research in the area of designing instruction-parallel architectures (VLIW) for low-power applications with CoWare Processor Designer over the past 3 years. The additional expertise about processor architecture exploration enabled funding for the institute and allowed the students to pursue interesting jobs in industry after graduation.
