Laflin Announces New Partners for Sales Representation and DAC Participation

PORTLAND, Ore.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—June 6, 2008— EDA and IP product sales and marketing firm, Laflin Limited, announced today that it has updated its portfolio to include Instigate Designs Proximus product.

Continuing the companys charter of delivering foreign technology in the EDA and IP space to the U.S., Laflin signed on as a sales rep for Instigate Design. With over 100 engineering staff at its headquarters in Yerevan, Armenia, Instigates Proximus product offers a standards-based system design environment enabling system designers the ability to trade-off HW/SW beginning with the early stages of design throughout all phases of the project. In support of Proximus, Instigate also offers consulting for platform design, modeling and algorithmic function. Since starting their collaboration, Instigate and Laflin have secured several customers in the U.S. using the Proximus technology, as well as the consulting that Instigate offers to support it.

Laflin has also been selling and supporting HOTSCOPE, the lightning fast GDSII and mask data browser produced by DNP & JEDAT of Japan. Since Laflins introduction of HOTSCOPE to the U.S. market in 2005, the product has been adopted by several customers. HOTSCOPE contains a complete design kit for environment customization and tight and easy integration into customer applications. Ease of integration has been a key selling point for the tool.

In addition, Laflin recently secured an agreement with a Japan-based IP company for representation of their product and technology in the United States. Details of the agreement will be announced later this year.

Products represented by Laflin can be seen next week at the Design Automation Conference in Anaheim, CA, June 9-12. The HOTSCOPE product will be demonstrated in booth #766, and Instigates Proximus can be seen in booth #770.
