Advanced LTCC Process Now Available for High-Frequency Designers

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. and Research Triangle Park, N.C. - December 18, 2006 - Applied Wave Research, Inc. (AWR®) and DuPont Microcircuit Materials, part of DuPont Electronic Technologies, today announced the availability of a process design kit (PDK) that enables radio-frequency (RF), microwave, and millimeter wave designers to access the DuPont™GreenTape™ low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) technology within AWR's Microwave Office® 2006 software. Using the DuPont LTCC PDK in conjunction with the Microwave Office industry-leading, open and integrated design platform, RF, as well as monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC), and hybrid circuit designers, can improve circuit design productivity, shorten product development cycle, and speed time-to-market for their high-frequency products.

The PDK gives Microwave Office users faster and easier access to the DuPont low loss lead-free 943 Green Tape™ LTCC system. The system is ideal for high-frequency applications, delivering high density functionality; excellent reliability, low power requirements, and low cost interconnect packaging.
