Actions Semiconductor Files Registration Statement for Initial Public Offering of American Depositary Shares

NEW YORK and HONG KONG, Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Actions Semiconductor, one of China's leading fabless semiconductor companies, providing system-on-a-chip solutions for the development and manufacture of personal media or MP3 players, announced today that it has filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission relating to an initial public offering of American Depositary Shares (ADS) representing ordinary shares. The Company has filed an application to have the ADSs quoted on the Nasdaq National Market under the proposed symbol "ACTS." Prior to this offering, there has been no public market for the company's ADSs or ordinary shares.

Credit Suisse First Boston LLC is the lead underwriter and sole bookrunner for the offering. A copy of the company's registration statement is available from the SEC website at http://www.sec.gov .

A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective.
