Modeling of Vishay Intertechnology VJ HIFREQ Series MLCCs Now Available From Modelithics®

MALVERN, Pa., March 18, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- To help designers simulate circuit performance and reduce time to market, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE:VSH) today announced that Modelithics®, Inc. — the industry leader in providing simulation models for RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave devices — is now offering modeling for Vishay Vitramon VJ HIFREQ series high-frequency surface-mount multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs) in the 0402 and 0603 case sizes.

Modelithics offers comprehensive measurement and modeling services, as well as highly accurate, scalable measurement-based models that integrate seamlessly with popular electronic design automation (EDA) tools. Modeling for VJ HIFREQ series devices allows designers to choose key parameters such as capacitance value, circuit board materials and thickness, and solder pad size, providing more advanced design analysis than s-parameter file-based models.

Over the next few months, Modelithics will be issuing new versions of its libraries that include Vishay’s HIFREQ MLCCs for key simulation programs, such as Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS), National Instruments/AWR Microwave Office, and Keysight Genesys. Current Modelithics customers can request that data be added to their systems.

As a Strategic Modelithics Vendor Partner, Vishay is offering its customers a free 30-day trial of Vishay data in the Modelithics component library.
