EL SEGUNDO, Calif. July 22, 2015 – NI (formerly AWR Corporation) announces that NI AWR Design Environment™ is featured with AWR Connected™ partner Modelithics, Inc. in two new application notes and a video interview.
Modelithics develops characterization data and computer models for RF and microwave components. The Modelithics’ model libraries are highly reliable, parameterized representations that can easily be utilized by NI AWR Design Environment software.
A video interview from the International Microwave Symposium 2015 (IMS2015) highlights Dr. Larry Dunleavy and Laura Levesque of Modelithics discussing the company’s model libraries that are offered within NI AWR software and how they benefit RF and microwave board and front-end module designers.
Additionally, two new application notes depict additional use cases for these software tools working together:
- A Design Flow For Rapid And Accurate Filter Prototyping - outlines a robust yet flexible method for the design of lumped element filters. The procedure involves the integrated use of three commercial software tools - Modelithics Microwave Global Models™, Nuhertz Technologies’ FilterSolutions® software and NI AWR Design Environment software.
- AXIEM Co-simulation With Modelithics Models - demonstrates how first-pass success can be assured when incorporating high-accuracy parasitic models for all lumped elements or active devices in a design (i.e. Modelithics Microwave Global Models) within NI AWR Design Environment for any passive interconnect structure.
