EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – October 28, 2013 – AWR Corporation, the innovation leader in high-frequency EDA software, announces that it will sponsor the Best Paper Award at the upcoming as well as future Automated RF & Microwave Measurement Society (ARMMS) Conferences in memory of the late AWR European business development manager Steve Evans-Pughe. The ARMMS Best Paper Award titled as “Steve Evans-Pughe Award” will honor the memory of this UK and pan-European RF and microwave industry pioneer.
“Steve Evans-Pughe was a well-remembered and beloved figure in the European RF/microwave industry through his spirited and voluntary work in supporting industry committees and conferences,” said Malcolm Edwards, AWR European technical manager. “His untimely passing in 2003 shocked the industry. By sponsoring this prize we want to express our ongoing tribute to Steve’s memory and continue AWR’s long-time support of UK RF/microwave conferences and events thanks in part to Steve’s leadership.”
ARMMS is a United-Kingdom-based independent professional society of electronics engineers with an interest in high-frequency (RF & microwave) engineering. The ARMMS conference is organized twice a year in the UK, presenting dozens of technical and application papers of interest to the RF and microwave community as well as an industry exhibition. This year’s conference takes place on November 18-19, 2013 at Wyboston Lakes, United Kingdom.
