  • The Open SystemC Initiative (OSCI) is inviting users, modelling experts, EDA suppliers as well as system-level designers and engineers on May 12, 2011 to Dresden. On SystemC AMS Day they can share and exchange knowledge about the SystemC Analog/Mixed-Signal (AMS) standard. The event is industry-driven and organized by the Design Automation Division EAS of Fraunhofer IIS, NXP Semiconductors, STMicroelectronics and Infineon Technologies. Admission is free.

Current developments and challenges of the modelling language which is supporting the mixed signal ESL design and verification methodologies are in the focus of SystemC AMS Day. The day will highlight the SystemC AMS 1.0 compatible reference implementation developed and released by Fraunhofer IIS, Division EAS. Scientific and industrial partners will present this standard for applications in automotive, sensors, wireless and wire-bound communication.

    About Fraunhofer IIS, Division EAS
The Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS performs contract research and development for industry and public authorities in the fields of microelectronic systems and software.

The researchers of its division EAS develop methods for computer-aided design of electronic and heterogenous systems. They elaborate models, methods and tools for rapid implementation of products consisting of circuits, electronic devices or complex hardware/software systems. An important task is to bridge the gap between innovative manufacturing technologies and system design. Furthermore, innovative technology development in particular fields, e.g. image sensors, condition monitoring or smart textiles is part of the research activities.
The R&D results are applied in microelectronics and its application domains, like digital broadcasting, automotive industry, mechatronics or automation engineering.
