  • EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — August 23, 2010AWR Corporation, the innovation leader in high-frequency EDA, announces the AWR User Forum™, an open, democratic system for maximizing dialog with customers and ensuring that user feedback on proposed software features and enhancements is leveraged to its fullest extent. Found within AWR’s customer support download site, the AWR User Forum gives customers a mechanism for sharing their ideas and provides transparency to know exactly what happens to such input.

AWR began the planning stages of the AWR User Forum last year, concurrent with its decision to remove the registration prerequisite from its AWR Knowledge Base. The forum utilizes a unique democratic voting process whereby users have a set number of votes to assign priority to user-suggested new features and functionality. The system is useful for improving customer interaction in several ways:

    1. Establishing focus groups for discussion of issues that receive a significant number of votes
    2. Proactively initiating one-on-one discussions between customer and AWR development in order to obtain greater granularity on specific issues
    3. Closing the loop so that users know their ideas, suggestions, and/or input is captured and considered

“AWR’s User Forum provides our customers with visibility and participation in the software development process,” said Sherry Hess, AWR vice president of marketing. “User comments, debates and feedback capabilities are open and accessible to all users of AWR software. Everyone can see everyone else’s ideas, what decisions are being made, and why. This User Forum is another great way for AWR to further its commitment to unparalleled customer service.”
