Avago Technologies Introduces Automotive-Grade Isolation Amplifier for Use in Hybrid Electric Vehicles

MUNICH, Germany—(BUSINESS WIRE)—November 11, 2008— Avago Technologies, a leading supplier of analog interface components for communications, industrial and consumer applications, today introduced a new isolation amplifier for use in Hybrid electric vehicles. Avagos ACPL-782T automotive-grade isolation amplifier delivers superior isolation and common mode noise rejection (15kV/µs @ 1kV VCM typically). This device is designed with a wide operating temperature range and qualified to AEC-Q100 automotive stress test requirements and manufactured in compliance to TS16949, making it suitable for use in automotive applications. This amplifier is ideal for use in motor inverters, battery charger systems for plug-in hybrids, AC and DC rail voltage measurement, temperature sensing isolation.

Avagos ACPL-782T isolation amplifier is designed with a tight +/-2% gain tolerance providing high accuracy measurement and stability over time needed to accurately monitor motor current or voltage in high noise motor control environments. This device is offered in a compact, auto-insertable, industry standard 8-pin DIP package. A gull-wing surface mount option is also available.

Avagos ACPL-782T isolation amplifier optocoupler leverages Avagos proprietary LED technology with excellent long term stability.
