Fairchild Semiconductor's Sixth Annual Worldwide Power Seminars Provide Design Solutions to Enable Energy-Efficiency

SAN JOSE, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—August 21, 2008— Fairchild Semiconductor (NYSE: FCS) will begin its sixth season of worldwide technical seminars starting in September. These one day comprehensive seminars provide power design engineers design techniques, product technologies and industry trends to develop energy-efficient applications.

The 2008-2009 full-day Power Seminar technical sessions include:

  • BLDC Ripple Torque Reduction via Modified Sinusoidal PWM.
  • Board Level Evaluation of Power Quad Flat No-Lead (PQFN) Packages.
  • Design Considerations for Asymmetric Half-Bridge Converters.
  • Designing Auxiliary Power Supplies for High Efficiency and Low Standby Power.
  • From Powder to Transformer.
  • MOSFET Selection to Minimize Losses in Low-Output-Voltage DC-DC Converters.
  • Understanding Interleaved Boundary Conduction Mode PFC Converters.

Fairchilds Power Seminars will initially be held in more than twenty cities across North and South America and Asia beginning in September. Power Seminars are also scheduled to begin in February, 2009 across Europe.

Fairchilds in-depth Power Seminars are presented by energy-efficiency experts in the field of power electronics.
