Avago Technologies Shows Live Demonstration of World's Smallest RF Amplifiers

ATLANTA—(BUSINESS WIRE)—June 16, 2008— Avago Technologies today announced it will offer a live demonstration of the worlds smallest RF amplifiers during the MTT-S International Microwave Symposium show taking place this week. The company is a leading supplier of analog interface components for communications, industrial and consumer applications. Pushing the limits of RF innovation, Avago will showcase the performance levels and ultra-small form factor of its recently announced VMMK-2x03 amplifiers, which are the worlds smallest RF amplifiers.

The VMMK-2x03 leverages Avagos new WaferCap chip scale packaging (CSP) technology. Measuring an ultra small 1mm x 0.5 mm x .25 mm, the VMMK-2x03 can effectively reduce PCB area by more than 50%. With miniature 0402 package dimensions and no wire bonds, the innovative VMMK-2x03 amplifiers experience almost no signal loss and minimal parasitics. Its ultra-small size and fully matched SMT design are optimized for 500 MHz to 12 GHz frequencies, making these high-performance devices ideal to place in a variety of radio architectures.

Avagos live product demonstrations will take place at its booth #1257 during the MTT-S International Microwave Symposium tradeshow taking place the week of June 17-19 at the Georgia World Congress Center located in Atlanta, GA.
