With this highly integrated solution, the DIB7710-P now competes with the most cost-effective solutions on the market in terms of pricing. This new chip also offers the perfect reception quality with a portable antenna, a requirement for the success of these devices in the consumer market. The cost advantage of merging PCI and USB 2.0 interfaces on the chip is very high, and DiBcom's experience in developing state-of-the-art Microsoft(TM) drivers makes it a complete solution for fast time-to-market for ODMs and OEMs. The DIB7710- P can be used in either single or diversity mode, which has proven to offer up to 11 dB gain in European countries for portable reception. This currently supports hybrid analog/digital combination.
"The PCTV market is growing rapidly and very demanding in terms of size, power and price. With the DIB7700 and DIB7710, we now have the most advanced solution on the market, where there is a growing demand for mobile TV solutions on PC.
